We are here at Monica Imanga's soup kitchen,
in the slums of Windhoek
The children have been waiting here for almost an hour.
Athough in the shade, it is still very hot here.
Today is Independence Day, so there is something extra
They sang the National Anthem this morning which was very moving.
What appeals especially, is that despite their life,
the children have hope for the future and that they want to move forward.
This is the project we support.
We support the project together with Eileen (Canada),
Hannah and Frida (Sweden), Barbara (Austria) and Andy (Germany).
And with the help of IWAN in Namibia that manages the finances for us.
so that everything is administered correctly.
We support this project because the children are hungry,
Very "basic" really.
If there isn't any food, there is no health and you can't study.
It's a wonderful project, the money goes directly to the food for the children.
We pay for the education (uniforms and shoes).
These young children are very independent, they have to be
They are very brave, they want to fight for their future
but they won't survive without us. We have to help them.
If you look at these children, if you know how hard they work,
and how well they are doing their best, then you have to help.
These children need help.
Will you help?
